Here, we honor the ways identity, history, and access shape what safety feels like in your body. That begins with the land beneath our feet.

Heart Core was born on the islands of the Philippines — on the ancestral lands of the Indigenous peoples of Mindanao, where I was born, and the countless communities across Luzon where I currently reside, the Visayas, and beyond. Named and unnamed. Documented and undocumented. Present then, present now.

I honor their enduring presence, their resistance, and their wisdom about living in reciprocity with the land and with each other. I carry gratitude for our culture and ancestral lands every day, but most importantly I remain a student of all I have yet to learn.

This work is grounded in Kapwa (shared identity) and Bayanihan (communal unity). The belief that we are not separate. That your healing ripples into mine. That when one of us chooses repair, there is hope that all of us can rise.
